MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU 
I’ve noticed that automation can place a strain on employee retention. 
.....It doesn't need to.

Have computers do the boring stuff.

Some employees may feel that their job has been replaced by a system, and that they have no value to the company. 

So how do you retain employees as your automate? 

An employee is incredibly valuable for their firsthand knowledge of the company, its culture, and customers. They hold the potential to be the ultimate sales and experience staff because of their unique understanding of the company and quantity of touchpoints with customers. 

One way to retain employees as you automate is to turn your employees into inside sales staff. For example, I advocate for 1 office staff for every four trucks, and you would be surprised how many operations have it the other way around. Harnessing technology to alleviate A/P and A/R can free up extra office staff to become your inside sales team. 

And like Yoda says:
